It’s been about ten years since I was first involved in organising events, and since then I’ve organised more conferences, seminars, concerts, workshops, and the like than I care to remember. For about half that time in the regular secular world.
But every now and then an event comes along that is different, I can’t quite explain it but you just know deep down that it is significant. Last year it was Premier’s first men’s conference, 700 men joining together for a day of worship and teaching was so powerful I was cut to the heart by the end of the day.
This year it was definitely the Christian New Media Conference that filled the spot. It wasn’t that it was perfect, it was a bit rough around the edges in some places.
But as the day started, the presenters started speaking and delegates started interacting I couldn’t help but feel that this was one of those ‘Kairos’ moments. A time brought about and made Holy by God according to His purpose. It was a feeling that what was happening in that place was orchestrated by God for the building of His Kingdom on Earth. There was a feeling of positivity and love about the place as people made new friends and met people in the flesh they had interacted with online.
I can’t really explain it, but whatever it was #cnmac11 had it, and I am grateful to God to have been a part of it.
